    Smart EV charger requirements

I'd not heard of this before your post. The cynic in me says that the Government may want the ability to turn off charging. bit of a consipiracy theory I know, but it's a heavy control tactic!

Using an outdoor light via normal 3 pin plug?

Hi all, I'm not an electrician, I come here for advice. I wondered if it would be possible and safe to run a long, thick, armoured cable from my outdoor plug on my conservatory underground around 20 metres to power an outdoor light? Or would I need a full new circuit ran from my consumer unit...

What I am asking may be completely ridiculous, so please if it is, say so. I do not intend to carry out any of this work myself, but...

How to safely cover unneeded live wires?

unsure what you mean about T/E Tel, but there are 6 wires in total, 3 for each original light. TBH in my capacity as knowing nothing about electricity, I thought it was rather tidy! 2 feeds for 2 lights all tightly joined in a tiny plastic junction box thing! :)

argh I dont want to do that if possible as it's so late and the neighbours will hate me! Is there any chance you think it will stay off tonight with it still being on tamper mode? Alarm help please?

thanks for all the kind responses, it's very good of you to help I am afraid I don't really fully understand though. It DOES sound as if a battery is gone/is going because when the alarm in the panel was going off it sounded like a robot dying. The thing is...it still says tamper, and I...

Want to replace/move power shower - options?

It's not really noisy, it's just more noisy than any other shower I've heard. Doesn't sound broken just loud. This idea of a pump being remote from the shower does interest me. Am I right in thinking then that I simply buy a mixer shower, and the water comes out faster? the idea of the Kevin...
