    All switches are in off position and it still wont reset. Dont think its rained since. As soon as i switched it on the light did its test to detect whether daylight or not then it didnt come on till the guy came home at night, he went in his house and put landing light on and then it tripped...

    installed a PIR Outside light today, took supply from landing light to a junction box, live down to switch and back upto junction box as swith live, then switch live, neutral and earth out to light. The light did its test and seemed fine and the downstairs lights swithed on too. So went away...

    O yes, but im commited to doing it right. So the light it is then. How much would you charge?? Also with it being on the front wall of the house is it classed as an outside light needing an RCD?? Because its an old fuse box in the house.

    alternative to part p certification

    Just wondering, im part p registered but not yet with NIC, Elecsa etc, so every job i do that is not minor work i have to get it passed off, but instead of paying BC to do it could i get a spark who has the 2391 too do it?? I know a few you see :)

    No not yet, got alot to do yet, just done the one main road, going in salons, cafe's, take aways etc, thats a good idea though, always after new idea's. Im in my 2 local ad mags next month which wasnt cheap but they get delivered too around 30,000 houses every month, got yellow pages coming...

    Did my first round of posting today, went straight along my towns main road, prob about 50 leaflets, got 2 immediate PAT Testing jobs out of it, not bad :)

    The cu is at other side of house and its a big house. I thought a new lighting circuit had to be fed from an existing lighting one, didnt think you could get supply rom socket ring, but if its fused i guess its ok.
