    prismatic diffusers

    Done some research online and have found that it is meant to be dimple side down, to diffuse the light. So turns my colleague was correct although his reasons were wrong, I'm due him a few pints now.... Not afraid to admit I was wrong. :rolleyes:

    prismatic diffusers

    having a debate onsite....changing some tubes in a 600x600 recessed fitting with a prismatic diffuser. I put the diffuser back in with the dimpled side up ( inside the fitting) and the smooth side down. Been told this wrong and that the smooth side should be inside the fitting because it easier...

    well done on walking away from installing electric gates, the regulations are a total minefield. As the installer you are responsible for them complying with the regs. If you don't and someone gets hurt or worse then your neck will be on the block

    Do my eye deceive me or are there really two steel conduits connected to the metal db with plastic couplings???? If so I hope the earth is connected at the other end

    scrap metal thieves and safe isolation

    called out to shut off the power in a recently vacated industrial unit today. unit been empty 3 days and the thieves have already been in. This what i found at the main panel board, these cables are still live!

    LED Lights and low voltage problem

    Update... Designer has seen the light (see what i did there) and gone for the 240v version of the lights, apart from some lights on staircases. Have managed to get drivers located nearer to these ones meaning that no light is further than 5m away. :hurray:

    The fittings are cast from plaster and are recessed and plastered into the wall. The idea of them is to throw light down the wall onto the floor or up the wall in to the ceiling. They are flush with finished wall! The LEDs come fitted into the fitting although they can apparently be screwed...
