you can't relyom the voltstick. you need a proper meter to masure any voltages ( usually relative to your Main Earth Terminal) on the water pipes. If in doubt call in a qualified spark as a fault if present could be dangerous.

can't beat an analogue meter. the ones with valves in give a smoother resonse on the moving coil mechanism. i stilluse one made in 1934.a wipe with furniture polish on the oak case keeps it "smart".

electric drill. brace and bit now relegated to the bench cupboard of no longer used tools. oh. and that hammer and twist tool for plugging walls. but the analogue meters are still in use.
