Okay, well past midday but been busy. So far I've cleaned the pond and tank filters, been shopping, cooked food, washed up, sorted my timesheet, packed my bags for the week and soon I'll be leaving for the just under 4 hour drive to the weeks hotel. I'm staying at Burgess Hill this week and...
It's a pretty quiet morning for me. The mother in law came out of hospital yesterday so the wife is staying over with her for a few days. So, when I say quiet morning I mean noise wise. It's peaceful.
The voltages are just a little bit higher than your house. The square bolted bit is what we refer to as low voltage. That's the feed in from the generator. That's only around 21,000V. (Yes, we all know that's not LV) The other side, the tall brown bushings, is the output going off to the...

I'll be watching but not until later. Got to drive this afternoon to where I'm staying for work. It'll be the highlights on C4 for me so I'll make sure I don't read any follow ups to this thread until I've seen it.
So, how do we perform a DGA? Let's assume there's no analyser attached to the TX. We need to get a sample of oil out of the transformer. Different labs will have different requests but you'll either need a 100ml syringe or a 500ml bottle.Clean the valve, run off 500ml of oil, scrap that then run...
