UK Second empty meter cabinet for a consumer unit to feed several garden circuits. Can a standard metal csu be fitt

It is within the boundary of the dwelling so would need to be compliant. What are the risks of water/moisture/debris ingress within the new meter cabinet? Bear in mind that suppliers often fit isolators in there.

UK SWA feed to garage for brewing equipment

I would keep it as one consumer unit. We would need to know your incoming supply arrangements such as earthing type, suppliers fuse size etc. Existing layout, whether a circuit could be run from the existing consumer unit or split the tails after the meter and fit a KMF suitably fused. I would...

    Stolen tools

Not your fault mate, I wouldn't have even considered they would try getting in that way.

    Stolen tools

It will slow them down, so less chance of them getting kit whilst on site, stopped at lights etc. But as with anything a determined thief will get in, they've even started peeling the roof back to get around dead locks.

    Stolen tools

I've jiggled things around since this picture was taken but all my expensive tools are in a vault bolted to the floor.

I thought that Travelodge had a controlled barrier on the access road due to the two massive data centres that are on the same road. Someone will have let them in.

DISTANCE from D/G socket to max reach of pull out kitchen tap ?

300mm is a recommendation not an absolute.

Gonna give this a whirl (wickes Vde screwdrivers set)

Why do they still insist on adding those crappy mains testers, bloody things are dangerous. I like their coffee, plus if I order through their App I get two free cups for every six I buy.

    What code for this?

No RCD but supp bonding in place I would C3. I would C3 the shower size as there's no sign of thermal damage etc, and I would strongly recommend to the customer that it is either replaced or the MCB and cable replaced. Long term the MCB will start to either nuisance trip or even worse fail to...

    Crimping tool for these crimps?

Solder will be fine in, I've wired old Brits that vibrate like mad and never had a solder joint fail.

    Max demand fun

How often will everything be turned on at the same time? LED lighting so that would be a couple of amps max if all lights are on. No significant white goods so in reality the RFC would be 5 amps average. Once cooker is up to temperature it would cycle through. Does the occupant spend all day...

Requirements for a small kitchen in non domestic situation.

If you can post a picture of the alarm panel someone would be able to help in what's needed with a head swap and commissioning etc. As for the wiring, same as any other job.

    Overload Protection of "submain"

If this is a domestic dwelling 54 amps is pretty high. How many rooms? Electric water heating etc? EV charging point?

    Overload Protection of "submain"

It's not referenced but the volt drop is from the source of supply to the end of your final circuits. If you use 2.2% on your distribution circuit that gives you only 0.8% to play with for lighting. What is the expected maximum demand for the new build?
