i didnt see the last 2 photos to be honest.... but thats even worse.... theres an earth terminal on a plastic switch, but the back box isnt earthed!
Red wire has too much copper showing at the terminal.... surprised it hasnt found the bare bit of cpc when it was all screwed back.
Im going to...
It is actually much more straightforward than it appears.
youve got 3 switches, a 3 core and earth between switch 1 and 2, and another 3 core and earth between switches 2 and 3.
Taking the terminal njumbers you have supplied.... which isnt waht we were expecting, TBH
Switches 1 and 3 are...
is that the switches you're working with? Intermediates are usually marked 1,2 at the top and 3,4 at the bottom... or L1, L1, and L2, L2....
If theyre all the same.... ill try to draw out what you described in first post.
Its true that intermediates can be used as a two way, and a two way can...
need to see the other switch, i think.... but a couple of things spring to mind....
Are we sure the blacks there are neutrals?... if so, then it should be fairly simple.
I am also presuming the red-red goes up to the light.... (you can check if its also red-red at the light)
This isnt right...

This is a cover of a Bee Gees song, with George Michael being an uncredited vocalist,.
it should work fine...
In fact, some speaker cable will outsize doorbell cable, depending how big the speakers are.
only difference is speaker cable is fine stranded, but doorbell cable is solid core.
is it just a 'ding dong' old chime, or a new fangled video doorbell? they might be a bit...
As westward says, but pay attention to the terminal markings.
Your old switch has Common, L1 and L2 in a triangle, with Common at the pointy end.
Your new switch ( ignoring loop, as it has no internal connections to the switch) Com is Common… same function. 1 way and 2 way are the L1 and L2…...

1. 13A or 3A…. It’s only there for short circuit, not overload.
2. Why is it suspect? It’s 2 core, sheathed and looks sufficient size for the load. If it doesn’t have a polarity marked, then it doesn’t matter.
3. The glue is holding it as it is, but the removed cover will grip the flex if...
It doesnt need a 6A cable.... and TBH, a 3A fuse would probably be oversized for it anyway...
As mentioned, the internel circuitry will limit the load... but i dont think theres anything to worry about... as long as you dont plug it in with the cover off like that
did you buy it like that? without the cover on the fuse?
I wonder if someone in the shop robbed the 3A fuse from it for something else
theres many products that come with 'low profile' moulded on plugs..... from reputable manufacturers... not just chinese cr*p.
"3mm x 0.6mm" doesnt sound...
That’s not fair on the Neff engineer.
He only knows his specific product, and probably has to follow a troubleshooting guide that Neff themselves has written.
They just assume as mains socket outlet works… as it would with a plug in tester.
It would be like asking a dentist to have a look...
How do we know?
It happens countless times, and it’s always first thing we check.
As to why it trips…. Everything has an electrical load, in amps… as you may know.
An RCBO, or RCD basically measures what the load is on the live, and the neutral. If there’s a difference of 30mA, as standard...

Trivia:
I dont think theres anybody that doesn't know this.... but Sophie Eliss Bextor is the daughter of Janet Ellis, Blue Peter presenter in the 80's
20 odd years old, it should be just a circuit breaker. No requirement for rcd protection at that time of install.
Is there any fixtures directly above the switch? Such as a shelf screwed into the wall or maybe just a picture hook?
Is there more than one switch for the same light?
An...
