    Esteemed member

@Dan was tweaking with the settings earlier on. It’s based on a post to likes ratio of 1:0.75 now I believe.

Sorry to bring it up, but have you thought about Christmas presents yet?

I only think about It all on Christmas Eve and cram it into a couple of hours before the pub opens ?. Might try and be more organised this year though.

Megger 1552 (Hi current test not tripping 30ma rcd)

What make are the RCD’s as I had the same issue with Hager RCBO’s a few years ago. They all tested fine whilst doing the RCD trip times.

    Found during fault finding

    Generally wouldn’t use a 6243 cable. It would normally be a 6242 along with a separate 6421.

    Found during fault finding

Another cable always used in Ireland is pvc/pvc twin brown for switch drops and strappers etc. rather than using a T&E and sleeving the blue. I’ve never really understood why it is not readily available in mainland GB.

    IEC Leads and PA testing.

That lead that you have linked to seems to have a 3 core flex according to the data sheet. Why are they using these with adapters when a standard UK IEC lead would be the best option.

    Found during fault finding

I can assure that’s not the way it’s done in either the Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland. It’s a bodge and that’s that. It would not be acceptable in any part of Ireland.

Any recommendations for a light weight electric screwdriver?

I have one that I got in the states. Best way to describe it would be like a tiny wheel brace with a 4mm flat end and a handle that spins. Maybe some of our members from that side of the pond will know it’s correct name. What I do know is that it is a doddle for socket screws.

    Induction hob.

Thread now closed as it’s clear that @Bogart isn’t willing to listen to the advice given.
