    12v LED tape recommendations please?

My wholesaler stocks the "All LED" branded tapes which I've found to have been brilliant. Come with some nice push fit/wago type connectors which make life a bit easier when joining - ALL LED K9 Clips, LED strip connectors - http://www.allledgroup.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=31_68

NICEIC Certification Scheme NICEIC IOS App (20 characters)

I know they were updating stuff over this weekend, but was expecting to be able to create new 18th Edition certificates via the (free) app which doesn't appear to be the case... This the case for everyone or am I missing something?

    Further Training.........

Mature candidate still does require an NVQ3 unfortunately, just misses out a few Health & Safety units within the NVQ.

    Best Spotlights out there?

Another vote for Enlite E8's or Enlite 5W GU10's, really can't go wrong with Enlite/Aurora. Not a fan of grid switches personally purely for aesthetics, prefer to only have sockets on show with isolators tucked away in cupboards.

    Tool storage?..............................................

Veto Tech LC with TP4 for hand tools, all my power tools are Bosch so kept with their L-Boxx system. Got a couple of extra grey Sortimo L-Boxx boxes off Amazon recently to keep other bits in which all stack on top of each other nicely in the van.

Replace Menvier M12 with Nest Protect installation

Maybe I'm reading this wrong but sounds as if you're trying to install a 230v device on existing intruder alarm cabling...?

    Scantronic panel problem

Does it not sound even when 2 x devices are activated in alarm? Will need to ensure it's not a monitored alarm before giving it a go!

    Snickers floorlayers trousers or other?

I went from the DuraTwill 3212 trousers to Flexiwork 6902 and would highly recommend the upgrade, material is a lot more "breathable" on the Flexiwork which does allow more movement.

    I certifi need alternative

Use the NICEIC App myself as its free and been reliable, although lost a days worth of testing results recently on a EICR due to not syncing correctly which is annoying! Heard a few people rave about www.electraform.co.uk recently who appear to be a new kid on the block, might be worth having a...

    Switch fuse for tails

Have only installed the Wylex types but would recommend them, plenty of room inside and look smart. You'll need to have an allen key set handy if you go for them as they've done away with the normal PZ/SL terminals.

    5357 Apprenticeship Diary Questions

Have a look at - Qualifications | NVQ2356.COM - https://nvq2356.com/electrical-qualifications/ I'd imagine they're the same sort of questions on the new NVQ, but gives you an idea of what they want to see.

Aurora MPro's will fit in a 47mm gap if you're after an alternative.

Texecom premier elite 24 programming zone names

It is indeed, go into zone setup and keep pressing yes until you're at the device name screen. Press no and it will allow you to enter a device name (predictive text is on as default).

    External Floodlights - Warehouse

Sounds like metal halide fittings as others have said, there may be a way to retrofit your existing fittings with some LED "corn" lamps - sure they'd be a member on here local to you that can advise after a site visit.

    18th Edition Online Training

Anymore feedback on the online courses..? I did the 17th before Amendment 3 so sounds as if I'd need to do the full course, not keen on taking 3 days off for it though to sit in a classroom!!

    Bathroom extractor recommendations

I fit the Envirovent fans personally, think they look smart and have a good extraction rate whilst remaining quiet - Envirovent SIL100T Silent 100 White Low Noise Wall / Ceiling Axial Extractor Fan With Adjustable Timer IP45 26.5dB(A) 100mm / 4 Inch 240V, SIL100T -...

Veto Pro pac , are they worth it ?

Love mine and wouldn't go back to anything else, would recommend the Tech LC with a tool pouch (TP4B). Had both for a couple of years now and still no issues, was previously going through 1 x of the CK bags every 6 months!
