I do mostly commercial, In 5 years trading, I think only 2 or 3 customers have ever mentioned NICEIC membership.
Even council work does not require scheme membership.

Basically customer currently only has a 100A 3 phase supply, which is rather overloaded. Also has a 120KVA generator for a 55KW motor.
