Hi all,
thoughts/advice please. Best/most cost effective way of dimming existing 1200x600 led panels?
Set up - The panels are currently wired/switched in four banks of three fittings each. The fittings are Ansell 56watt dimmable, but were installed (by others) & kept on the existing on/off...
Your college has probably given you a diagrammatic of the motor control circuit, the FICA is exactly the same. The final connection to the motor is in SY (the rest is in singles), from the trunking to a metal junction box.
Peeps,
Your thoughts please on the use of sy cable in a domestic setting.
Came across an installation today where the supply to an immersion element had been run in sy cable. Overcurrent protection correct and circuit is covered by a 30mA rcd.
I think we are going to be doing an EICR in the...
Thanks all for the feedback. I appreciate that we all have our favourite manufacture ( I’m happy with my 18v range of DeWalt). I had been using a Metabo 10.8v 4ah driver for light work - securing DBs, accessory screws etc as it is very light to carry/use. But both batteries are now fubarred...
Peeps,
I have been asked to run a supply for a single phase, 3.2a extract fan (systemair AW500E4).
Is it a requirement, recommended or just good practice to include thermal overload protection in such a situation?
Thanks.
Give the Scot Gov Building Standards division in Edinburgh a call for clarification. As you say, the intention is to have all properties ( o/occupied and public rented) meet the same standard as presently required in the private rented sector.
I always use Aico detectors, but not sure if their...
For some reason I thought there was an option to reduce the test current on the Megger, but it appears there isn’t.
So Ze +(R1+R2) it is.
Thanks guys.
PS can’t remember the last time I had to test with a 10mA rcd in place!
As above, taking a Zs measurement on a circuit covered by a 10mA rcd. Tripping the rcd on a no trip, three lead test using a Megger 1721. Is there a change in the settings I’ve forgotten about to allow a Zs to be taken. Oh, testing at a socket rather than source.
TIA
