    2 x RCD's tripping

Yes, that is exactly it. However I'm a bit of a bystander with this. At the moment the RCBO's have been changed to type A RCD's and is all working fine. The situation is being constantly monitored.

    water pipe issue

re pipe: not painted.......that is the color of the pipe when affected, possibly through heat? Just one sweated joint done whilst in production. No force applied when installing apart from doing nuts up. You can just make out the water meter, the other end is just a tap. One pipe discovered has...

    water pipe issue

Hi again, another one to wet your appetite. This has been seen on several different bollards around a particular caravan site. The site will be investigated at some point to establish exactly what is happening and why. The Bollards have electric sockets, water meter + taps on them. Hopefully...

    2 x RCD's tripping

Hi guys, tried searching, whereby explanations have been given as to why a RCD will trip by a fault on a circuit that ISN'T electrically protected by the RCD tripping. Typically crossed neutrals or borrowed neutrals. I'm not into testing. Company I work for been called out to an EV bollard with 2...

    Eicr

i thought that all touring sites had to be TT. Residential vans can be TNS as long as not all metal. Statics to be TT also.

    Eicr

What type of caravan park is it? ie residential, static, touring. Generally as mentioned above TT is the norm. However the distribution system can be a TN system, but then the caravan is made TT. Is there an earth rod by each van?

    Fluke tester

Hi guys, for those of you into testing a lot, using a Fluke 1652C all in one tester. What does EER 5 mean when testing? I'm told it could mean noise. Could someone explain please? The test are mainly carried out on larger size distribution cables (longer runs etc) as opposed to domestic...

RCD changes. minor Works for each?

Periodic carried out by others, very large site, so possibly 30 whilst highish number, compared with total number of RCD's on site, not so bad. Instruction from client was to replace the faulty RCD's as per list given.

RCD changes. minor Works for each?

Nope..30 RCD's feeding separate 16amp sockets. Various circuits fed from various DU's around the site. So MNW for each one then recording tripping times. Would more info be reqd? OCPD, size of cable, Zs at each socket? Bearing in mind this is for a NICEIC cert..others may be different.

RCD changes. minor Works for each?

Hi Pete I've not been on a while, trust retirement going well! Re job: EICR carried out by others, company I work for doing remedials. They failed x1 and or x5. Client has requested them to be changed. Whilst the circuits have not been altered at all...just the RCD's. This is a caravan site...

RCD changes. minor Works for each?

Hi guys, question for those that fill in NIC minor works forms. When changing a 30mA RCD like for like, I appreciate new times would have to be recorded, but anything else? Company I work for are changing about 30 RCD's which have failed a periodic report. i take it 30 x minor works required for...
