Do I need to be a qualified electrician to make DIY extension lead?

Maybe the op wants a reason to fail a customer's extension lead on the grounds that it's 'diy' and is looking for a specific reg to back it up, I could be wrong but that's how it looks to me.

    Our thoughts go out to:

Terrible, just terrible! Dropped my daughter off at the Warehouse in Manchester last month for a Hardwell gig and was overly impressed with the security at the venue, ID checks, bag searches and sniffer dogs before you were allowed to enter the premises. Don't know if that would have helped here...

    Neutral-Earth voltage

What type of board is this, are the mcb's still available and can't you just swap out the two 32 amp breakers for 16 amp? A board change seems overkill to me.

    Faults that aren't there?

@BG1234 Fault finding would be easier with an earth leakage clamp meter for intermittent faults on rcds/rcbos.

    Is my house wired wrongly?

It sounds to me then that you have 2 different circuits in this room one of which is likely to be a radial but this can only be confirmed by proper testing.

    Is my house wired wrongly?

... So you split the reds and tested both to Neutral or earth, is that correct?

    Is my house wired wrongly?

How did you carry out the test and did you use a multi-meter or a no contact voltage tester (volt stick)?
