    The cheap 1 pound inline couplers seem to work fine. Plus you keep untwisted pairs as short as possible.

    I’ve had a 4P 125A Merlin Gerin MCB fail after an RCD test (shunt trip) on a machine. Had to get one in a taxi at a cost of 300 quid.

    Can I ask your definition of MCC? Is this a custom built control panel full of drives, plc, safety circuit etc? I believe BS EN 60204 may be the correct regulations in question.

    Rob has giving all you need but I can add a little. You meter needs to be true RMS, not just digital. Motors often are rated above the nameplate rating. Eg a 4 pole is 1500 rpm but will be good for double that as the mechanics will be built and balanced the same as a 2 pole 3000 rpm motor...

    Are you trying to squeeze a circuit to comply by not using the 7671 tabulated values? The only time I looked at that was with a Merlin MCB, the values on the data sheet were the same.
