Are youre connections in back of fan isolator ok
Sounds like there is no permanent live to the fan if it is not over running. If there is one when the light is turned off the fan is faulty
Well that wirring looks horrendous.
No cpc connected single insulation showing, no identification of conductors. The list goes on. (Im guessing u are no electrician)
Join the single red with one of the twin reds. In a 20amp joint box. Make sure you terminate the other red in the spare terminal as that will come live when light is off.
Just had a closer look at picture and you can see the straps have been wired in twin red so if u join one of the straps to...
I remember when i did my practical exam on the 2391 a few years back. Tutor said we could have regs with us. Half an hour into the exam the internal verifier walks in and tells us its a closed book exam.
Had to come back in the afternoon and retake it.
Thankfully passed though
I agree on the speakers but there is recessed lights on the market that will fit in there.
The light in the picture i posted is only 25mm deep so once u add the depth of the plasterboard u will have enough room
You will not need them to support the notch as looking at the picture they are not structurl joists. They look like 2 x 1 that have been nailed on over the top of the insulation so when plasterboarding they have something to screw to.
My main concern would be whoever is plasterboarding...
Hi.
If there is no chance of cross battening I would notch the joist and put plates across them.
There is slim downlights that would fit and give great light output. I'll post an image off them.
The ones I have fitted in the past are aura enlite
I think keff do some slim speakers too
