My immersion heater wall switch gets hot when switched on. Water heats OK but switch gets hot. So, until I know what is causing this, I obviously don't use it. Any advice most welcome pls!

And you're asking is it beer o'clock?
I can't go into ours in case I leave a mess, and we all know Sparkies, even retired ones are the tidiest folk on this PlanetNice to see she's got you well trained Middy , my missus won't let me in her kitchen to do anything. Reckons she can't find anything once I've put it away .
often see 13A FCUs in this situation. a 20A D/P switch is a far better solution.provided that the immersion is on it's own circuit and protected correctly @ the CU.

Odd things, WomenKnow exactly what you mean Pete, mine came up with a cracker earlier. She told me I hadn't cooked Chinese in ages, how can I cook when I'm not allowed in the kitchen ? .
Now look what we have startedWe say the same about men folk
on the whole, present company excepted, if you try to explain anything to a woman that does not involve shoes or handbags, they never listen.
so obviously, you'd prefer to shop in toolstaion rather than primark.Shoes... you mean work boots? Handbags... never big enough for a decent selection of kit, much prefer a toolbag or rucksack
Hate to say it, but I know exactly what you mean. Used to dread inane conversations about trivial carp like fashion, make-up, diets and the latest series of Celebrity this and that.
