Hi guys, need to do some schematics for a couple of sites. All 3 Phase. Anybody got any examples of DB flow diagrams? I.e. A flow of circuits from a main DB to subsequent sub-main boards etc.
Whats the norm?
Thanks,
Adam.
Perhaps I was a bit too vague... It is in the middle of the warehouse, no walls to fix anything to. At the moment they are running extension leads across the floor which are being run-over by vans.
Hi guys, just quoting for a job in a warehouse (steel frame). They want a 2G socket in the middle of the warehouse floor between vehicles. No option of chasing out the concrete floor. So are there any products available to hang from the perlins or RSJ's somehow?
Any ideas?
Thanks, Ad.
Hi guys, trying to find the name of the insulating sheet board used between say trunking and a dis-board, need some for a job; havn't needed to use it before.
Any ideas?
Thanks
I didn't want the genny to stay on for an hour after, just the light. The idea is to alert us when the mains is back on, so we can switchover.
It's all manual switchover. In an ideal world I would upgrade it to automatic, but my company are simply not going to fork out for it.
Thanks for the...
Hi I work on a site where we have generator back-up, so if the power goes down we can change-over to the generator. The problem we have is knowing when the mains is back on.
What I want to do is have a light that turns on when the mains comes back on - on a timer, for about an hour after the...
had this problem the other day on a job. EDF insisted they wanted an EIC, which obviously is not possible to do fully without power.so i did all the dead testing, then tried doing the live testing with a temporary supply to a generator. needless to say my tester did not like the fluctuations! so...
so bigbaddave... i guess your right but then again, it does get hit a fair bit. it is also up quite high - requires a ladder.
I would be inclined to agree with Edd.
Hi. I have an upcoming EICR on a 3P dis. board which is situated in quite a bad place...I would say there is no access to it 80% of the time, as there are pallets stacked in front of it. Would this constitute a C2 or C3?
before i got there it was a joke. i am trying to improve the whole site, but its big and because i have other responsibilities there, i cannot devote much time to it. not enough hours in the day!
look guys, i probably sounded a bit flippant before..in fact very. Since I have worked there I have tried to raise the standards to 17th. If I didnt care I wouldn't be on this forum in the first place. The irrigation company supplying the pump did the calculations as i have been working on other...
16mm SWA is feeding it so that should be enough. the thing is im not strictly an electrician, i work on a farm but i have been training over the past 2-3 years as a sparks. I do what my employers ask and sometimes make suggestions but they dont pay me enough to do proper calculations!
silly me. looked today and there is an earthing nut. seems a bit stupid to me that theres nothing in the manual about it. you would think that the pump would have some sort of multicore cable with the 3 phases + an earth. I suppose i'd better put a new earth rod in at the control box because its...
