    Thanks for all the suggestions so far, sorry if I've not been clear. I can't post a url but it's on Historic Lighting dot CO dot UK, look for ceiling rose multiple outlet. There's just holes for flex, so I need to rewire the existing single pendant to be 8 new pendants.

    Apologies, I think I'm too new to post photos, or can't do it on my phone. Those buckets look about right, bloody awful is the direction we're going in. It will be 8 pendants with normal 40w bulbs, not recessed lights. The downstairs lighting circuit will take the new bulbs without exceeding...
