Incorrectly filled out EICR and the law.

The flat was previously owned by a letting company, they were the ones who commissioned it. They passed on the report with the sale of the flat.

Incorrectly filled out EICR and the law.

I have been to look at a job today (consumer unit change) having had a brief look at the existing set up I noticed that there was no earth cable coming up to the flat so I did a quick ZS test on a socket, it was showing 0.13 ohms. The only thing I think is that an earth has been taken off a...

EICR's on buildings with multiple consumer units

Cheers..worked out how to do it on the software now..you have to choose the option of creating a 3 phase board, this then lets you change the phases into a consumer unit..which then lets you create circuits on them..then you have to create a board on the individual circuits!! Easy!! (not)

    Fire alarm regs for re-wires.

As per my original post, I have been told that you only need them if the escape route has changed. Just wanted more clarification.

    Fire alarm regs for re-wires.

Thought if a heat detector is involved it wouldn't be a smoke alarm. I have suggested to the customer that it is a good thing to have, was just wondering what the official LABC line was.

    Fire alarm regs for re-wires.

Exactly, that's why I'm asking the question in the first place, LABC will be involved as a wall is coming down between the kitchen and dining room, as mentioned in my original post.

Can't avoid them when they are involved in the building project.

    Fire alarm regs for re-wires.

LABC are involved with loft conversions though, I've had to put a full fire alarm through the house when a loft conversion's being done.

    Fire alarm regs for re-wires.

Can anyone clarify whether it's mandatory to install a wired interlinked smoke alarm in a fully refurbished house? There is a wall coming out between the kitchen and dining room with new patio doors leading outside. I'm led to believe that a fire alarm is only mandatory if the escape routes are...
