Just wondering if this is acceptable?? tails for an extra cu taken straight off incoming armoured cable.

What is the total potential load from those terminals. You could always C3 it? Is the supply cable capable of taking both the CU loads? I might ask the manufacturer as to their views.
EDIT: I imagine with the current idea that those very terminations done poorly are the cause of fire it is not the best solution there are better ways of doing the supply to two consumer units.

There is probably as much argument for as against. I wouldn’t do it personally.

1 view is that if the connection is decent with the two screw terminals why not?

On the other hand it doesn’t take much to stick a set of Henley blocks in?

Perhaps if the swa could have been installed/glanded into an isolator then tails out into a Henley block , inturn feeding each separate DB.
As it’s an EICR I’d make a comment at the very least anyway.

I’d have liked to see a mains tails gland as well being fitted, rather than a 20mm open grommet being used but its not really something I could complain about on the report :)

I wouldn't do it, personally, but EICR wise I've come across it quite regularly, although it's usually all enclosed in trunking (ie. two boards linked). If all is secure and intact, without undue signs of damage and the supply OCPD is capable, at the most a C3 but I don't like the idea of tails to an additional, separate unit.
