    Question About Playstation 4??

That's part of the problem in that he is only just turned 4... Mum and dad are not together, and when he stays at dad's, lets him play lots of stuff I don't think is age appropriate; lets just say he is not exactly a responsible role model in that respect.. We have bought the little 'un a...

    Question About Playstation 4??

Thanks Guys, that is really appreciated! Its for when he stays with us so that he can play but we can keep an eye on him rather than put him in a different room on a spare telly.. To be honest the whole idea of kids having access to the web scares the living daylights out of me and I would much...

I know nothing about consoles or games so was just looking for some advice. The grandson has recently received a PS4 for his birthday. It is all set up and working ok using the TV, but I was wondering if it was possible to hook it up to a laptop and use that screen instead? The laptop in...

    Light Switches in Bathrooms

Another perspective is that regs are minimum standards and a qualified/experienced spark he may feel that while a certain customer request is technically allowable, he may still consider it not a good idea on safety grounds....

    PC power supply, Please Help

If its possible to safely power up the PSU before you put it in the computer , I would do that at the very least...If this one then pops, you know the problem is further back, possibly in the extension lead.. If its fine out of the PC, fit it back in and try again... Expensive way to fault...

    PC power supply, Please Help

Is the power supply the correct one for the PC? Are you plugging the power lead direct into the socket in the wall, or via any extension leads? I am not a spark, but I would think the PC might be faulty or failing that, possibly a fault in the socket where the power lead is plugged into...

Do others filter the potential time wasters?

Sadly, you also need to consider the other side of the coin. People are tired of being ripped off by dodgy "tradesmen" whether its builders, plumbers or sparks. I am not sure whether shows like "Rogue Traders" help or whether it blows such problems out of proportion. Personally, over the...

    Earth Leakage Clamp Meter

What unit do you have? I bought a UNi-T 210E and that has a 1mA resolution, but I think the accuracy is around +/- 5mA... UNI-T also do UT211B which has a resolution of .1mA and a low range of 600mA with a max range of 60A which all seems quite good for a £60 tester. The only down side I can...

    Earth Leakage Clamp Meter

    Earth Leakage Clamp Meter

Just a quick question on these various earth leakage meters...Looking at the spec of the Megger its states the resolution is 0.001mA... So are they saying it resolves down to a thousandths of a mA or do they actually mean it resolves down to 1 mA? Edit to add, I've just found the info in the...
