Notches or Holes, clip or not to clip?

I would think ( and its just a hunch) that the "risk of reaction" would be greatest when the fire cement was wet, but reduce greatly once it was it was dry? My previous home had a wood burner so I've used it quite a bit in its correct capacity but would never have thought of using it instead of...

Kevin please change careers before killing someone

Suspect he might have been a plumber to start with because he is certainly no electrician!

Kevin please change careers before killing someone

Would anyone who has had the slightest training/experience of electrics do such a thing? The guy is reckless/negligent to the point of endangering life and property and really does deserve to be prosecuted....

    Bosch professional twin pack

Thanks, that's most helpful. I really don't need a corded SDS anymore, but I think an 18V version would be very handy.

    Bosch professional twin pack

That's more or less what I am thinking, but thought it might cope drilling into a mortar course or into block.. Previous cottage had 18" stone walls so I ended up buying a cheap Silverline SDS for a few jobs that needed doing... I eventually broke the trigger on it, but not before it paid for...

    Bosch professional twin pack

I 've just bought the 10.8v/12V version as "separates" for home use... Not used them in anger, but I'm very pleased with first impressions of quality ect... With Bosch rebranding their 10.8V tools as 12V, there are a lot of bargains to be had at the moment. The combi drill (skin only) was £33...

    Bloody Wood Butchers.

Don't complain...it keeps you in beer tokens! On the landing of our house, the previous people stuck a nail about 12" directly above a light switch..Luckily it is patrician wall and the T&E wasn't hanging dead vertical otherwise they would have nailed it!

    Do Stud Detectors Work???

I turned out my walls are not built with wooded studs as I thought but rather metal ones..The stud detector actually picked them up easily in the end...

    ltd, salary, tax etc

I think the other area that needs to be considered is if you go bust or if you are sued for a sum of money and end up with court orders and bailiffs chasing you... As I understand it, if you operate as a Ltd Company, the bailiffs can't take personal possessions to pay debts but some one...

Question About The Electrical Feed for A Shower???

No complaints from me...all that extra water in their fleece is just enough to slow them down nicely!

    151 White Silicone Sealant...

I hate having to open a large tube of silicone sealant to do a little bit of filling/sealing. Invariably the next time you go to the tube its gone off and needs to be binned. A while ago, I found that Poundland do small 70g tubes of white 151 Silicone Sealant as below: 151 White Bath & Shower...

Question About The Electrical Feed for A Shower???

I got up in the loft last night and had a look around under the insulation and was able to find where the switches had been from the remains of holes and plugs ect... Scouting around further and knowing where the showers would have been I was again able to find holes down into the partition...

Question About The Electrical Feed for A Shower???

Thanks for taking the time to reply...I actually never thought about checking the loft around where any switches would have been...I will see if there is any redundant wiring up there....

Question About The Electrical Feed for A Shower???

Thanks for the reply, but my question was "hypothetical" and related to the feeds for two electric showers which have been removed by the previous owner.

Question About The Electrical Feed for A Shower???

Thanks gents, I thought that might be the case, but wasn't sure... I had a look at the labelling on the CU and there is no mentions of showers, so I am hoping they will have been removed properly so to speak...
