RCBO suitable for circuit with no earth?

True, although it's scheduled for January. I did ask if there was room or could we repull the cables with T&E but apparently the conduits are full and it's not an option. How that works for heat dissipation is another question.

RCBO suitable for circuit with no earth?

I moved from a 16th century flint church, that had some ancient, clunky and very sparky light switches! And spurs that were spurred off a spurred spur. Thankfully they're doing a full rewire now.

RCBO suitable for circuit with no earth?

We had a building team meeting this afternoon and I was able to get more detail. I could send you a photo of a wall with the conduit buried in it, although I'm not sure that would help! . The problem of the conduit being buried in the walls means we don't know where the joints are that have...

RCBO suitable for circuit with no earth?

I've just started at a new church and the electrics are bit of a shambles. I'm not going to be touching them as I'm not qualified, but one thing I have been told is this, which I'm not sure is correct (and really doesn't sound right). Sometime in the 90's the building was rewired by SEEBoard...

    Internet central heating controllers

Well it was one 3-way valve, pump, tank thermostat. The Nest thermostat talks wirelessly to the hub, which we put in the airing cupboard where everything bar the boiler was. Just a matter of using one of the existing cables to link to the boiler. And the gas installer is an ex-British gas...

    Internet central heating controllers

I've just had one put in along with a new boiler. The instructions in the Nest box show the wiring for S and Y plans and OpenTherm. It just becomes a matter of identifying what cable goes where - me and the gas installer spent a merry afternoon with his Megger and a wander lead. And I can now...

    Ring door bell install

I've just fitted a Ring Doorbell to my house and it was 8-24v AC . Are you sure you're reading the instructions right? I was thinking of using an old bell transformer I have that puts out 12v, but then read that the doorbell can be charged via the enclosed USB lead and lasts 6-12 months on the...

Anybody had tools stolen in Wiltshire area?

They will have come from far and wide, not just Wiltshire. If you've had tools stolen anywhere south of Birmingham they may well be in there.

A different world - heath and safety nuts look away.

Last week I went to Moldova doing some work with a charity on people's houses. Nothing electrical, mainly painting, fitting false ceilings, rendering etc. But I though you might like some of the things I saw..! The local village substation. You can walk up and poke it. During high winds the...

Amendment 3 2-module enclosure or 100A DP isolator.

Well mine is definitely inside, under the stairs. But you kind of assume the DNO would know what they are doing?

Amendment 3 2-module enclosure or 100A DP isolator.

I recently got an isolator fitted by my DNO in my house - they supplied a Wylex unit in a plastic enclosure and this was less than a month ago. So have they breached the regs? This is it -

Pete's Videos How to make a song and dance over siezed up pliers

I liked the slow-mo action as he pointed out "the trick!" - had me on the edge of my seat that.
