And there is always the fact that whilst your using the hot tub , it is highly unlikely that your cooker and hob will be on whilst all your lights are switched on and all plug sockets in the house will be under load .......
whats your cooker rated at ?
You can diversify diversity, you just need to look at a few things closely, like lighting, is it incandescent or fluorescent ect ....
from my tutor at college , but since then ive connected generators which have needed readings of 200-250 ohms to be correct for the rcd used , but to my question is it anywhere in the bs 7671 about zE values ? because I were talking to a contractor on site a few days ago and he were quoting regs...
This may sound like a daft question but in bs 7671 does it state anywhere in it about max ze values
ie
tncs--0.35
tns--0.80
tt--21
I was jut wondering,I can find max zs but not ze ?????
yes but my question stems from that the dc grounded aerial comes to the back of the radio and ends there. The power supply is 12v class 1 equipment plugged straight into the mains, because in affect theres 2 earths (not bonded) wouldn't there be a rise in potential under fault conditions
because the dc earthed aerial will be at a different potential to the house ring main (witch the power supply is connected too) so under fault conditions there will be a potential difference at which my dad could receive a shock
Please could somebody shed some light on this for me.My dad is an amateur radio enthusiast and over the years has built up a decent size bit of kit, he has a dc grounded earthed aerial that connects to the back of his radio , which has a power supply (class1 equipment) plugged into the ring...

Very helpful thankyou
I don't struggle with maths Im just struggling to see the pattern , but your method is very helpful ive tried it with a few different outcomes and its working for :)
Cab somebody pleas help, im perfectly ok with ohms law until squared and square roots are brought in
Could sombody please explain to me why and how i do this equation.
P=v2/r and the question is make v2 the subject instead of p
Hi could some one help me out, im taking my 2394 next week and ive been told to expect questions similar to the heading of this thread.
My questions are :
How would you perform an insulation resistance test on a storage heater (my confusion is with the element, will 500v damage it ect...)...
No offence intended james but you must not be very far into your training if you haven't covered notifiable and non notifiable work, best advice would be to carry on learning with your mento, slowly but surely you will learn the CORRECT way without any botched jobs along the way
Ok I think I follow you, if im doing initial verification on a complete new install , the schedual of inspections accounts for the install as a whole.
If ive added a new circuit or altered and existing one , the schedule of inspections only apply to that
So basically what ever information you...
Sorry this may seem like are really daft question but during initial verification and testing do you issue one schedual of inspections for the whole installation or do you issue one for each circuit ?
Sorry for the very vague question, for some reason I thought the initial inspection was a process done before initial verification.
I now know that there done together throughout the installation and on completion. Just a slight mix up :/
As for the senses used id say
sight
sound
smell
touch...
Sorry I wasn't really sure where to post this thread
My question is during initial inspection and testing does initial inspection come before you carry out schedule of inspections ?
And is there an order in which you generally follow?
I know inspection ALWAYS precedes testing
Thanks for...
