I have long advocated for a much more radfical Summer Time change. Basically you reset the clock so that in Summer you get up at what was 4am, when it's already getting light (a favourite time for me to go for a scenic walk in good weather) and then you work 8 hours and go home at mid-day and...
I'm having a really bad day so forgive me!
Get a longer wife or fit the new CU nearer floor level...
A new wife can be a very costly exercise, trust me!
EZVIZ here, poe, reliable and good quality picture. IR view for night time isn't good, probably because I have a streetlight very close which negates it, but standard view is fine. Night time is B&W though, switching to colour as light increases. Good value for money and I am getting another one...
Oddly enough, I do actually have a wind-up megger! It sits on my curiosity shelf beside my AVO which, sadly, I can't get to work despite buying an expensive new battery for it...I'd like to get it working, but that's for another thread.
OK guys, thanks to all of you for your advice! The general consensus is wear ear defenders, have cutters to hand, get the bell box open and hope for the best!
I will certainly report back. Fortunately, the bell box, which is in the communal stairwell, is only about 7' above floor level, so...
Thanks @littlespark
No I haven't Googled it yet as I thought someone on here would have a trick or two. I don't want it ringing for 2 or 3 hours, for sure.
Will the battery be in the bell box? If so, I'll whip the lid off and disconnect there. My concern is if the battery is remotely located...
Indeed, HHD...that is exactly the situation I wish to avoid!
Last time i was there to fit new smokes/heat to comply with the new Scottish regs I attempted to take down the single existing smoke and flipped the breaker...and all hell let loose in the common stairwell...I just switched it back on ...
Can someone please guide me on this? I have virtually no experience of home alarm systems.
The client has an alarm which had been fitted to her flat a few years before she bought it. She wants it permanently disabled. She contacted the company who said the annual subscription had been cancelled...
There's a young chap, 12 years old, near me who can fix this for you...unfortunately, "near me" is a division of HMP and I don't think he's immediately available...I'll have a word with his parole officer though
As for film cameras...I have a pristine Canon A1 and an AE1...I moved to a digital many years ago, a Canon Rebel (as it was known in the States) but here a 350D. before that, my first digital camera was a Kodak, with a zoom lens and, I think, 1.4 megapixels! It took great photos, and used...
Quinetic amazing, but I'd never use for that application.
My preferred installation is to mount the isolator outside the bathroom. Bring the 10mm cable into a dual box, plenty of room for terminations, DP switch in one side, cable into the other "half"...easy to switch on/off and plenty of room...
