    SPDs, as with any switchgear etc are tested to stringent requirements and standards. Obviously occasionally something will go wrong, but I would say this is probably a freak thing.

    I suspected as much to be fair. I've got fond memories of setting up SME 3009 tonearms (on mostly Thorens turntables) with very low tracking weight cartridges. Trying to get all the test tones of the test record to track correctly. These days I've gone with a pre configured Rega Planar for ease.

    OP, what testing has been done? Either during installation or for fault finding? What MFT do you have? If you give us a bit more info we may be able to help. Or is this a full DIY install with no testing?
