There are companies specializing in used/obsolete breakers, another option is eBay, or replace the panel.

In your country, do you use pipe to run wire through very much?

Some of the photos there are mind boggling with all the conduit runs & how they were run & others you see some opps.

Can I safely remove 2nd set (3 wires) from my temporary power when l pull down the shut off switch?

That switch is a accident waiting to happen, it needs to be replaced ASAP before someone gets hurt, I have never seen a enclosure so rotted out as that one, someone dump a load of salt on it? :(

In your country, do you use pipe to run wire through very much?

This is a photo off the web of home being built in the Chicago area, Chicago, & a number of it's suburbs only allow EMT when wiring homes, no flexible wiring methods like NM cable, AKA "Romex®", MC, Metal Clad cable, or AC, Armored Cable. The claim is that it is a result of the Chicago fire, but...

    Should I be concerned?

SE cable is not used in CA, it is NEC compliant but not allowed by any of the PoCo's in CA, any that is in service is 60-70 years old.

Help identifying part needed. Box missing lid.

Pool light junction box, the cord in the center goes to the underwater light, that cover would be a electrical supply house item & would have to buy the whole J-box. If the pool is gone might be a good idea to make it safe and get rid of it, fewer questions from HI's (idiot home inspectors)...

Backstabbing: electrician says all outlets in home should be replaced?

Sounds like the OP called a flat rate electrician, every job has a price & they will bend you over without the benefit of Vaseline.

Breaker lock so the circuits can be locked out for servicing (LOTO) Lock Out Tag Out, most likely those appliances are hard wired, rather then cord & plug connected.

Tamper Resistant Light Switch 15 amp Need Key

I did not attempt to zoom in to the photo until now, the switch is a AH&H, Arrow Hart & Hegemon (sp?), Arrow Hart is still around formerly part of Cooper, but now a Eaton product, it may still be available from them, but can buy a Hubbell from HD Supply...

Tamper Resistant Light Switch 15 amp Need Key

What brand of switch? There should be marking on the yoke of switch showing who the maker is, the problem is if the switch is from a defunct manufacturer, or otherwise discontinued. But eBay may be a source for the missing key.

    Unknown MEM distribution board

UL has Classified certain breakers to be used in competitive panels, which makes them legal to use, the UBI breakers are for Zinsco, FPE, and Pushmatic panels, also Eaton has Classified breakers also, and Siemens, & Eaton, have UL Classified breakers for SQ D QO although I would not use those...

    Unknown MEM distribution board

They are UL Classified to be used those panels, and while obsolete panels should be replaced, and with problematic makes like Zinsco/Sylvania, & FPE, that is more important, it is not always possible. Do your inspectors consider themselves the equivalent of UL?

    Unknown MEM distribution board

But UBI sells UL classified replacements for FPE, Zinsco/Sylvania, & ITE Pushmatic.

    Should we stop buying

Say what you want about Trump, but he has delivered more then any other politician here in the US, until the outbreak of Chairman Xi's crazy bat flu, the economy was humming along also. Back to the original topic, I read labels for COO, Country Of Origin, any food item made by the ChiComs goes...

    Help choosing wire

Copper is the conductor of choice, but properly installed aluminum alloy wiring is fine, and a good way to control costs, if it was so bad PoCo's would not be using aluminum alloy conductors almost exclusively, the PoCo's do use compression connectors for terminating AL, but proper torque is...

    Help choosing wire

I was commenting on the link in the 1st post. The 4 AWG AL spoken about later will be a good choice & will able to use phase tape to mark the conductors, rather then buying green & white conductors since 6 AWG & smaller must be colored green, or white, by code rather then taping black...

single phase 120/240 volt residential voltage problem

Agreed that it's a neutral problem, call the PoCo & hope the problem is on their side.

    3 wire (2 hots/1 ground...no neutral) Range wiring ok?

It was permitted to ground the frames of cooking equipment & clothes dryers to the neutral prior to the adoption of the 1996 NEC, it is still permitted in existing installations, but if any modifications are done that means it has to be brought up to current code, IMO, it was long overdue for a...
