Ok thanks. Just advise me what sort of cost that should be if I ask an electrician to do that for me. I don't know what that involves and don't want to get ripped off just to get a certificate. Thanks
Thanks, was told I may need the job registering somewhere and a certificate providing because it's classed as a special location. Not sure if that is correct or not.

I live in a rental property and when I moved in I fitted an outside socket. Was an easy job as it was fitted at the other side of the wall to a kitchen socket so I just took it from the kitchen circuit.

Because I already have a double socket, cable and trunking so it saves me £20 on a 4/5 metre extension. If it is safe to do and I use the right cable.

Just wanted to ask the cable to use and the safest and correct way.
Hi, my son's bedroom has no plug sockets at one side of the room. But I'd like to plug a bedside lamp and some LED lights in at that side of the room. Obviously I can run an extension lead from a socket on the other side of the room.
Would it be an option to run some cable or flex with a plug...
