Probably got a bit lucky here. Did Zdb and didn’t visually see what was going on, been testing Easy 9 boards this week so the line on the right didn’t really click with me. Turned the main switch on to do the RCD tests and my eyes caught how the cables were coming into the back of the board so I...

Not to sure if it’s been mentioned yet but most of the electric cars only utilise 15kW of the 22kW 3 phase chargers. I believe it’s only the Renault Zoe and one or two others that can actually charge at the full 22kW potential. So a 84kW charger is pretty much useless.

Spoke to a rep from fluke who said do a Type A RCD on 10mA and that’s alright to do but I’m a bit wary.
Afternoon Chaps. We’re doing more and more EV Chargers. I have the Megger 1711, however when I do the charger I borrow my good mates 1741+.
We have the Rolec box for testing aswell.
I’m now looking at the Fluke 1664FC tester, has anyone got it, ideally I want to move away from Megger, I keep...
I normally will use the Piranha nuts mate, wholesalers run out though and this was sort of dropped on me yesterday. Banjos are bolted on the outside rear of the Wiska box, bit rough, but all I could do with what was available
Galv Tees with some form of resin poorly poured. Best thing about the job is the Wagos. Honestly I’ve spent a day trying to break this circuit down, from the R1R2 reading we estimate this circuit is about 250 metres long 2.5mm lighting circuit.
Got 9 bollards with a 0.08 N-E IR, all jointed underground with a flex coming through a concrete block. Mini digger coming tomorrow to break the lot of these out and to be re done in proper torpedos , or where possible both armoured brought into the new bollards. Installation less than 3 years...
