I think that is the problem been talking to a few domestic electrical companies and they all went dead the last two months thats why i want to try and get into some bigger jobs im sick of scrapping about for little bits of work.
I set up my company just over a year ago and it has been going well but in the last month or so things have been really really slow and i was wanting your advice on the best way to get larger jobs.
I tried contacting builders kitchen fitters and such 400 in all and only got a few waste of time...
I have the little giants there heavy but about the most stable steps i have ever owned wouldnt do without them now.
Had mine for 5 years now and there as good as when i bought them no signs of wear like feet coming off and such that you normally get.
This is where i start thinking should we be telling unqualified people how to do such a simple job if they dont have the knowledge they shouldn't be doing it.
I have been getting more and more plans in pdf format and not on paper how do you manage with this do you pay to get them printed andf hope that you get the job to cover the costs or just struggle with doing it on the computer screen?

If your wanting to save money in the long run get a new tester as it will only be a small difference by the time you buy a second hand tester and pay for calibration and you will have the reliability of a new tester.
As for a continuity/volt tester dilog do a ok one for £40 ish proving unit...
I tried this two weeks ago sent 300 letters out and got one email back i tried it 6 months ago with 80 letters and had two calls so i think timing may be very important but still waiting for a real response.
