no, that just a wiring diagram of the heating system. I want to put a 3 amp fuse in it. just want to be sure. would be my luck to fail on something like that. just though the heating would be on 6amp with a 3 amp fuse.
just thought its common to have a 6 amp with 3 amp fuse?
they give you a box full of fuses and breakers etc. you have to chose the correct type. has anyone done the am2 recently?
Defo 16. I have always seen them on 6? Obviously wouldn’t put a 3amp fuse on 16amp breaker? The spec tells you the cable size and breaker size, not the fuse?
Just wondered if anyone had taken the am2 recently to clear it up?
Hi,
Can anyone who has passed there AM2 please tell me what size fuse they used for the sy heating plan. It is fed from a B16. So, would it just be a 13a? I have seen them just on a 3a before.
Cheers
On the test the require you to just isolate the lighting circuit notbtbe whole board. So, identify the breaker turn off and lock off. Then switch switches in all positions, then test at fitting. (Obviously testing voltage tester with proving unit before and after).
They want you to demonstrate...
That’s good to know. Another thing I was wondering was when doing the single isolation on lighting circuit. Do you switch the light switches in all positions to demonstrate that light does not come on then test at the fitting.
Or, test at the fitting With the switches in every position. If that...
I am just coming to the end of my quickstep nvq3. Don’t let the name fool you! It does take a while gathering all the necessary evidence. You have two options the self build portfolio (which I did) or the tutor comes out and takes pictures and does it for you, for double the price. The self...
Cheers.
Literally just wanted to know if you set the tester to 2 lead high or low.
As I have been advised to set it on low.
I would usually set it to high?
Hi,
Could someone who has completed their AM2 please give some advice?
When commencing your ze, pefc, PSCC.
Do you set your megger tester to high or low.
I would normally set it to high for the ze, pefc and PSCC tests?
Although, I have been it should be set in low because of the RCBO on the...
That’s fine. But, just wanted to know if you test at the 2d fitting with the switches in every position e.g three times. Or, just switch the switches in every position to show the light does not come on then test at the fitting once?
I’m just sure I was told to test on low because of the RCBO...
hi everyone,
When demonstrating safe isolation on the lighting circuit on am2 do you operate the switches and test each time you operate.
Or, just operate the switches in every position then just test once at the 2d light fitting?
Also, when commencing a ZE test would you recommend setting the...
Does anybody know if you only to an IR test on the cables that you have pulled in from the DOL to the motor on the AM2?
So, you would just do L1-E,L2-e, L3-e,
Then L1-L2, L1-L3, L2-L3?
Obviously from the DOL to motor you will only pull in brown, black, grey then and earth with no neutral.
