I'm not keen on shooting game, I have a personal rule, if your not going to eat it, don't blow holes in it!!!. And my mrs wouldn't have blood and shot all over the kitchen!!
However when you talk about little clays........hand me my gun!, one of my favourite past times!
I have a browning...
Oh it's not anything interesting mate I just know which hotel it is in Birmingham that has the pod rooms. Nowt special just they made a big fuss when they opened it, lots of hype
I would not feed a socket off a 10a mcb as the first time someone plugs in a microwave or trace stove it will pop and how basic the install sounds, makes me think it's a bit of a budget hotel, so the kind of places that would have guests bring such equipment. My lads who are staying at a park in...
Glenn, it's not a case that falcon is incapable of designing the installation. It's more of a case of not having the confidence to stand by his own ideas and risk loosing the client and the job!.
We all know wah it's like to have somenumpty who has his own idea of how it's done but not a clue...
Go on share!
We could do with a laugh, I'm in brum so if you need any advice give me a shout!
As I just said in PM, if they want a board in each room then there are 2 ways to do it..........
16 way 3ph DB on each floor and a box of C32's. 9" tray and 35 x 4mm radials (which probably are not...
8 ways are 8+ main switch mate so you probably only want 6 ways!
Get them to spec baby hagers, bambino sight easier to terminate SWA's into and easier to move the guts about!
Explain to the client that if the SWA ever has a fault then they are looking at 4 rooms of for maintainence until it can be sorted!
Hotel management dislike nowt more than having rooms off!
That's why I'd go back to them with a written summary outlining why it shouldn't be done and staying reg numbers!.
Also testing and certificating this would be a pain.
Multiple 10mm radials is not going to be all that much cheaper than individual 4mm's
Could even look to put multiple...
Falcon I'm not trying to pick holes in your design. If they want db's in each room then I really wouldn't be daisy chaining boards, I assume that the 10mm radial would be fed from a local board, so what happens when this circuit trips with overload because you have people like my lads who bring...
I'd want a section board on each floor feeding a room board off a 32A mcb. 4mm 3 core SWA to each
How you have described has a couple of issues, you would run the risk of overload and good luck trying to to terminate 2x 10mm SWA in a 2 way DB
Also nuisance tripping is a big problem, supply...
