I have seen it where emergency lights are supplied from a different circuit to the main lighting circuit which is not a very good idea as unless you have a total failure of the supply.
The last company I worked for was carrying out PIR's on an aircraft factory, we had a visit from the NICEIC as part of their annual checks. The guy that came admitted that their certs where not designed for more than installations greater than 100A.
That's why the big companies design their own...
Sorry but your wrong there Tazz, since 2006 at least Autocad have done a seperate Autocad Electrical version as well as mechanical and civil versions as well as the basic Autocad version.
One thing you should do is throw that thing between the top 2 screwdrivers as far as you can possibly throw it or better still stick it between the jaws of a vice or hit it with a hammer and smash it to bits
