Hi Lads

Am new here was hoping to get your thoughts about your methods of time keeping software or apps that you might use, have been looking for a while but can't find any thing to really do the job i need it to do.
I have been using the old printed time sheets that the lads fill out and return on pay day.

I have feeling one or two may be taking the **** a bit hence this idea

In full am looking for an app that is compatible with both android and iOS with some sort of GPS check in for when they arrive to site so i can keep track of times spent onsite properly.

Any comments would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

If they are using company vehicles for the site visits then surely gps trackers on the vans is what you need.

Not a bad shout GMES have seen some fairly decent cheep ones on line is this a system you use? another reason i was thinking of going down the time keeping app route was to be bang on with hourly priced jobs helping with invoicing ect.
we have expanded recently only have 4 guys employed but all this employee management it fairly new to me.

No I don't have trackers but have thought of them purely for invoicing reasons and nothing to do with staff and trust issues.

Also if a couple of them are trying it on then have them in the office and deal with it, have you any examples of what you think they're doing wrong.

If you think people are going home early or whatever then make a few unannounced visits to the jobs and see if they are there or not.
It was a strategy that worked well for my old boss.

there is an app called timesheet by florian tashic or something.

it will let them email it to you from within the app and its very easy to use.

i started using it on saturday (free on android)

it gives weekly total and can be broken down to per day etc and if they want to they can put what job it is.

it can be set to backup to dropbox. easy thing to do if there all clever lads is get them all to share that folder with you then you can view it without any intervention on there part
