I take the view that with sealed units as the manufacturers know what is going to be in them, then they are able to state whether the units can be covered with insulation. If this is important or a possible consideration I recommend sealed units.

I have a wera one. There interchangeable bit set works well on Hagar and SBS, slips on BG though when approaching the required torque but thinking about it most drivers slip on the BG screw heads

Isn't that what the problem is? If the amplifier goes into oscillationthen (apart from the local interference), the tower is unable to deal with this very high signal level and adjusts everything down. A bit like the automatic gain control on a tv tuner when it receives high signal levels...

Almost everything you have mentioned has high inrush demand on start up. Your electrician will need to design a circuit so that your mcb(s) do not trip when machines start.
Give the whole job over to your electrician to design as they see fit. State the nature of the machines and leave the rest...
