I wouldn't want to try it on my house. Typical 1970s. No two walls are straight or parallel.
Does it have to auto level? The reason I ask is we were fitting new 400kV busbars to a gen transformer last week. The aluminium castings have to be bolted to the top of the bushings and then the bars...
The offer is still showing on the web site. I ordered yesterday, twice. One lot I could have picked up today, the second was out of stock on blanking plates but is due in tomorrow. My daughters house has been gutted and the spark doing the job is happy to use them.
As you say, I have a feeling it's going to be a unique plug but then again I can't see Seaward going to that extra expense. I haven't had time yet to pull my Apollo apart to see if there's anything moulded on it.
I only need the plug. I need to make up a set of leads for a specific job. They need to be left on the job and just plug in the tester when needed. I'm assuming the ready made leads would have a moulded on plug so I wouldn't be able to knock up the leads needed and give them to the client...
These 3 pin sockets are used by Seaward on some of their PATesters, in this case an Apollo 600. I need to make up some leads but I can't find this socket listed anywhere. Anyone recognise them and point me in the right direction for some plugs? The socket is about 13mm diameter. I'll be taking...
He's from Florida so maybe it's legal over there? I remember back in my yooooth when I had a Camaro (yes, I could reach the pedals!) the brake light were also the indicators.
I went for a Creworks 3L jobbie. So far only tried it on some aluminium foil (yup, big holes as it should do) and some old coins. Cleaned them up lovely. It's noisier than I expected but seems to do the job.
Well, that didn't go well. Just had an email from the 'UK not!' seller telling me the unit is faulty and it was the last one they had so they cancelled the order. Am I being a bit cynical here or perhaps it didn't reach the price they wanted ??
We're down at our chalet in Somerset. The sun is out, the sky is blue and just thinking of treating the wife and son to a high class meal. Wetherspoons or Brewers Fare. I live life right on the cutting edge!!!!
From what I've read the plastic ones should be avoided. They don't work anywhere near as efficiently as the stainless. I'm not sure why though. Perhaps the plastic attenuates the ultrasonics?
Yup, someone had a real bargain with that one at £45. Looks like it may be time to constantly watch ebay!
