    I've got one of THESE and the type that plugs into my phone. Not much difference between the two. Had the phone one for years and probably used it 3 times. The other hand held one I bought off fleabay for a couple of quid as faulty. Just a dry joint.

    UK Hello. I need a replacement ELT1 lead for my Megger PAT32. Can anyone sell one to me or explain how to make one?

    All I can find about the ELT2 is it doesn't do polarity. Th ELT1 does. If you do find one for sale I would assume due to rarity it would be expensive. Personally I would dump the PAT32 and buy a 2nd hand Supernova. Far better tester but a lot heavier. It's also downloadable which can make...

    I'm not an expert on setting fire to transformers(!) but as far as I know that's just the oil burning. If there's problems in the transformer the pressure inside the tank can get very high. They do have a 'pressure relief device' which should vent the pressure and trip out the transformer but...
