For work, not medical….

Local wholesaler is offering these. Don’t know whether to go for it, or would it just be another toy that sits unused on the van.

I have a "Stanley" one and had another cheaper one before that. Both suffer very poor depth of view that limits how useful you think they'd be. I'd happily pay more for better (I know cable rod make one) but only if I could test it first.

That said the Stanley still gets out occasionally but rarely the first thing you try.

Knowing what the Scots are like with money you can get them £1 cheaper at Toolstation or Amazon ;)

I've got one of THESE and the type that plugs into my phone. Not much difference between the two. Had the phone one for years and probably used it 3 times. The other hand held one I bought off fleabay for a couple of quid as faulty. Just a dry joint.

I have the Draper one, it's not bad, pretty bright, reasonable picture, good for finding rods that have gone off on one due to an obstruction, handy for downlight cables that have been trapped by the board monkeys, good for searching in service voids for that elusive bonding clamp.
Can't fault it for the price!
