    It's for a electric griddle pan, it had a US two pin plug which I cut off and thought just wire up with a UK plug but the wires are not colour coded so what should I do? Or have I messed up? :)

    Where are you lot buying consumer units.

    The hardest sale is not to the electrician but to the end user. I suspect many end users have no clue on what brand or quality is best. Would it be fair to suggest a 'weak brand' CU installed by a competent electrician is better than a @top brand@ CU thrown in?
