Yes that is what i wondered.
It was the M18CHX-0 M18 FUEL™ 1" SDS Plus Rotary Hammer (Tool Only) - https://www.milwaukeetool.com/Products/Power-Tools/Concrete/SDS-Plus/2712-20
It was a 65mm core, and no i was just drillling, no hammer.
It has a pretty good overload function on it so it did keep...
Been using my sds hammer drill last weekend drilling a core hole. just a milwaukee cordless one
Had a few issues with the core bit - jammed now and again, was a bit of a pig
but I come to use my drill again today and it seems that something is slightly bent (chuck maybe?)
I only think that...
Could I just ask about potential issues with extending meter tails when moving a CU? Say if the cu was originally 3 metres away from the DNO fuse and has been moved to say 15 metres from the cut out fuse?
I wouldn't necessarily go to all the effort of running a duct from one shed to the other if you end up taking another supply from the house/garage to the new shed, especially as the existing cable is buried and so you cannot easily draw another cable through.
You really need to first ascertain...
consumer unit is in house which feeds the garage which is where the extension was carried out from. Hope that helps
yes - ok that makes more sense - as i thought. In which case you need to think about the loading in the garage as well.
Yes ok. That is helpful.
Yes I mainly work on new builds and complete rebuilds - and yes i agree that the house has got to be very efficient for them to be effective.
Thanks for the info.

Yes, ok, some interesting points you raise. Of course, you would turn the radiators on because your house was below the temperature you would like it at. I suppose a more constant ambient temperature would mean that when you get home your house would be slightly warmer than it currently is...
Hello
After some reading recently, I was interested in installing Air Source Heat Pumps, as I think they are a great replacement for a gas boiler. From what i can see a GSHP is even more efficient but a bit more expensive and disruptive.
After a bit of research I realised that you need to be...
A good post. I agree - modular storage is great. I now have the Milwaukee packout and proving the luxury of an easy to maneuver stack of tool boxes on wheels :) great for commercial work especially, where you are moving around a lot within one building.
I think its a good idea as long as insurance is happy.
But as James says, you have got to be prepared to act as independent to the company when producing reports and giving any findings. An in-house inspector could potentially fudge results to keep the boss happy :) hence the lack of...
Hello again
here is a pic of what i think my toolkit looked like not long after i started out.
I used to work with under a mate of mine so some tools i borrowed of him to start with.
These tools are mainly for domestic work...
i had other tools too that didn't go in the box or bag...like hammer...
ooooohhh that is a mess
i'm not a fan of unsupported SWA if i'm honest :)
But instead of spending time and effort sorting everything out i would go down the route of trying to get a nice 3ph board in with a bit of containment and support.
If that fails, at least get some cleats on the SWA
If...
I have a stanley toolbag like this. It is about 1 year old now and it has had a lot of use. The handles are starting to wear but it's still going strong.
I would recommend this bag for starters as it has loads of pockets which makes it easy to organise screwdrivers, pliers etc... Let me tell...
