    i thought the intention of this forum was to support electricians, give info on electrical problems, sharing information, not general banter. If it gets overtaken by banter it will fail. Imagine trying to find useful electrical info and you have to wade through the crap on this site. Who cares...

    Ferrule crimping tool

    Not an answer but another question. Or two? Why do you want to apply a crimp to the shortened cable? Strip it, twist it and torque to the required setting? but I hold no electrical qualifications!

    the whole point with crimping tools is that they should give quick, reliable, neat connections. This design does none of thes. A much easier way is to strip the wires, twist together, insulate with tape. Likely to give a much better job than a cheap crimper
