    Not that I noticed, all I could see were the 2 bunches of wires coming from the hole in the wall.

    Haha yes that was my poor attempt at filling the gaping hole that was hiding behind the previous light fitting, think it's worth digging the wires out again and checking they are ok?

    Bit of a nightmare to get behind them again to be honest mate but I'm positive they both had 2 wires on each.

    If I recall the 2 I've got up that are working both had 2 blue, brown and earth wires coming out the wall.

    This is the double switch, 1 switch does 2 lights on one side of the room, the other should do the other 2. Thanks.

I'm trying to replace 2 walls lights - like for like - the 2 lights are powered by a double switch in our living room. One switch controls 2 lights on one half of the room...

    As soon as you said "Are they all switched from the same light switch?" it made total sense! I think I know where I've gone wrong, I need to put the first of the 2 lights on that switch up first. Thanks for the help!
