    Mixed wires

    This is bathroom lights so I am thinking 3 recessed lights (150 W) total. I am asking this question because I have a roll of 14/2 NM wire already and thinking to tap to the existing 20 amp 12/2 NM circuit with 15 amp switch that using 14/2 wire to connect to recessed lights.

    Hello. I have a 20 amp circuit with 12 gauge wire that I would like to tap from a receptacle and create a 14 G wire pigtail to a 15 amp switch to power new recessed lights that is using 14 G wire. Is it safe to do so? If above is not safe, Are recessed lights take 12 G wire with a 15 amp...
