    I did mine exam in Jan '14 and from sending sending paperwork off after I got my results back took about 3 weeks. Mine came back as a Trainee Electrician Stage 1 2330 lvl 2 2365 lvl 3 2377 for what it's worth 17th edition

    You can do the ECS health and safety exam at Lymm truck stop, that's not to far away from you.

    Because I would still get asked if I had 17th edition and it was only. £35 and looks better if you have it.

    Finished 2365 level 3 last year as we managed to do it in a year. It was hard work as we didn't start any of the assignments till April. 17th is easy , we had a weeks notice and I just did a few exam simulations. Just make sure you label main sections and don't close your book.

    You may be able to get it funded,best to ask a local college. I was lucky enough to do the 17th at the end of my level 3 2365 at college for £35.

    I called Megger and they checked from the serial no.

    As mentioned above send it back to Megger if the firmware isn't upto date. I sent my Megger back for firmware update and they replace some parts FOC as it was under the 3 year warranty and mine was brought second hand.

    What do I need to legally start working as an electrician?

    Having spoke to NICEIC and Elecsa last month at Elex all they wanted was 2382 and between 1 and 3 jobs to look at (plus payment). I personally think this is an absolute joke! You should have at least a level 3 and 2382 at least to be able to join a scheme.

    Post it notes are fine. I used little film post its and I also highlighted certain texts that came up in test questions. I had a weeks notice before my exam and that was exam only. Just answer the questions you can find quickly or know and then answer/flag the others. That way you won't waste...
