I recently wired a heating system with a UFH8 manifold and an unvented cylinder.... easy.
Well it threw up a few problems.
Initially I had the time clock live feeding the UFH16, ugh zone valve connected to the valve connection and fired the boiler with the volt free on the pcb LS and LR. Circ...
Hi all,
Looking for some advice on first fix for sky and freesat TV,
I've quoted a WF100 shotgun and a single to both bedrooms and lounge, plan was to run all shotguns to external point for Sky to terminate into LNB and fit amp and digital aerial for the 3 freesat points. Terminated in each...
Hi All,
So i was asked to look at at large 3 phase to 120V transformer around 85kVA - it was tripping the MCB instantly (it never used to)
I insulation resistance tested the primary windings to earth - >2000ohms
I continuity tested the windings and got 0.46 ohms per winding, they were all...
Just Been out for a look, supply is TNCS. I shall TT the outbuilding with 100mA s type at the mains position. Bonding the metalwork and an additional earth spike. 16mm 2 core to the shed. All final circuits will have 30mA RCD protection

Pricing for a supply to a 25x 10M steel frame shed around 100M from a bungalow, one section is going to be partitioned to create a stable area.
Is there any requirement for a 300ma S type RCD?, I wouldn’t really class it as agriculture. Only 2 double sockets well away from the stable...

I’ve played about with the Eaton smart relays and the schneider Zelio software but want to increase my knowledge and I’m intrigued how complete plants operate with many machines ect (being based in a mill) none of our production plants use plc’s they still use relay logic (which works well for...

It was Steve Brawley from the JIB
Hi Rob, how did you make this move? Although I'm at the end of my apprenticeship it's something I dabble quite a bit in and would like to increase my knowledge further particularly PLCs
