Outdoor building/stable

Hi all,

Pricing for a supply to a 25x 10M steel frame shed around 100M from a bungalow, one section is going to be partitioned to create a stable area.

Is there any requirement for a 300ma S type RCD?, I wouldn’t really class it as agriculture. Only 2 double sockets well away from the stable area In the tack room.

I would class it as agriculture as horses are just as easy to kill as cows.
I would also consider bonding the shed to a local earth spike.

Just Been out for a look, supply is TNCS. I shall TT the outbuilding with 100mA s type at the mains position. Bonding the metalwork and an additional earth spike. 16mm 2 core to the shed. All final circuits will have 30mA RCD protection

Why the 100mA RCD at the mains position? The submain will be connected to the Tncs earthing system so won't need it.

Far better to do what Dave has suggested, if you use a 100ma S type at source and use RCBO's for the final circuits you will have to use DP RCBO's. This is because standard RCBO's are SP and when tripped will not disconnect a N-E fault possibly resulting in the 100ma device tripping as well. This is commonly overlooked on TT systems.
