As most people really don't have an understanding of electricity whatsoever, and the amount of times I have come across the wrong size fuse in a plug or FCU.
I don't know but surely this should be addressed somehow.
Moulded plugs are all good as well on the new table lamp somebody has just...

I work for a charity (Besom) that gets equipment that needs to be PATted. A lot of these come with 5 amp fuses. Please do the regulations
allow you to use 5 amp fuses, or are you supposed to change them to 3 amp? Most of these devices are low power & they will run perfectly
well on a 3 amp...
Nothing much has changed with them since the beginning. Perhaps now a lot of things come with moulded plugs and you don't need a screwdriver to change the fuse except perhaps for popping it out. And for people with no knowledge whatsoever can put a 5amp fuse into the washing machine and I guess...

Hi Guys
What determines whether a moulded 13 Amp plug requires to be fused?

We are taking over a building after commissioning and I found this install of which a macerator is plugged in to. I wouldn’t install this way and the glands and metal clad covers are not even fitted properly so the IP rating is non-existent. I have to tackle them on the install but looking...
Hi all what would be the best option. A client has an existing armoured cable that is spurred of the living room socket via a 13a FCU, the armoured cable is then run to a shed, were they used to have a lights. Now as the shed was rotten then have taken it down to replace it. This time they would...

previously 3000w/240volt=12.5amp....all ok
now stated voltage is 230 not 240
so
3000w/230volt=13.05amp marginally over
but to me it does...
