Hi all. I'm coming towards the end of my 2330 Level 3, and mid way through my NVQ Level 3 aswell, thinking about booking up the 17th Edition for beginning of the summer? How much is involved? I have my written exams left to do and will be sinking my head deep into books and notes for them, but...
But not being approved or holding a city and guilds inspection and testing certificate?
and if so what are the limitations of work i can do legally?
thanks.
IET now have the 17th Regulations (Green Book) in an E-Book format.
I have just requested a trial of it now.
It can be downloaded from:
Wiring Regulations Digital - IET Electrical
To buy the full version its £136.50 for members of IET and £210.00 for non members - a hell of a price, but really...
Could someone tell me when Admendment 2 of the 17th Edition comes out.?
I was told it would be soon but have had no luck with doing a search to find out.
I heard a rumour that the 17th edition's recent ammendments are available on free download. Can anyone confirm or deny this and point me in the right direction if it is true.
Has anyone come across any revision papers yet for the new exam? If so where can I get my mitts on them, so far I've found none and want to start getting some practice in. Cheers in advance. :)
is there anywhere online that I can revise for the 17th edition? I'm not ready yet, I'm still at college but I'd like to be able to pass the exam when the time comes, instead of paying £500, just pay for the exam fee
thanks

Hi guys n gals, i've fitted another general electric 17th edition split board. It's the 3rd one i've fitted and the 3rd one that i've had problems with.
Haven't changed many boards over, only ever done so for friends or family who've needed/wanted too, i still have my rewireble box taking care...
Hi all
Enrolled on 17th 2382-12 course and thought I would run through cable size calcs, grouping calcs, volt drop etc.
I have the new regs book here and the new site guide, but I am finding that various sources are sending me different places for tables etc.
For example - the new 2011 on site...
No I am not revising for an exam. I want one of these (or more) preferably FOC for a donation to charity. It is to help my apprentices with the course. I will donate a fiver per copy plus postage to a charity of your choice if you can help. Failing that i will have to buy new and Amazon.co.uk...
We're based in Watford and would like to enroll a couple of the guys for their 17th ed training, but wanted a recommendation please. I usually do all training through the NICEIC, but my experience of the Solar PV course was so bad, i'm going to look elsewhere...not to mention they seem to be...
Hi Guys,
I have prolonged doing my 17th edition (2382) update since completing my 2330 level 3 last year.
To my horror it has now gone from a 1 day course at £150 to a 3 day £444 course since the start of the year.
Does anyone know of a cheaper option????
Cheers
I am starting the 17th edition course in February. From what I have seen am I right in that you are allowed the book in the actual exam, or am I being really stupid? Last edition I worked to was the 15th :rolleyes4: and been outa the game for a very, very long time.
Hi guys,
I'm about to do a kitchen for my girlfriend, going to be a full renovation job including re-wire.
The room is an extension which is currently (and will remain) on it's own ring with a 32A circuit breaker, 2.5mm T+E and RCD protected.
Been familiarising myself with OSG appendix 8.7...
