I wanted to know if any of you have accountants to do your books and if the benefits outweigh the costs?
I keep being recommended SJD contractor accountants who are meant to be the biggest and the best for small business and freelancers.

Looking for a reasonable bookkeeping software package. Had a look at QuicBooks Intuit for £99/269 but seems a bit pricey for what is a fairly simple set of accounts.
Anyone got a recommendation?
We were looking at investing in some software to help streamline and control our internal processes. We currently use MS Office for just about everything.

do i have to open a client account or is there another account i can have HSBC have stoppped doing these and wont open one for me, they say its for firms like solicitors hold the client money, they have been advised not to open them for PV as its not the right tyoe of account, any ideas?
