Protection in Multi Meters
I would like to get some information on what protection is on a multi meter when accidentally testing a live circuit while the meter is on the ohms range? I seem to be getting different sides to the argument. One side says that there is no protection against this other than a audible warning...- Dogmatic1983

Dual coaxial cable connection
Hi, I have a coaxial wall plate that is hanging off the wall and needs replacing. How do I wire the old plate which has an IN and OUT for the two cables to the new plate with only one connection? Thank you- Sydney spark

Losing power to whole house, not tripping circuit breaker?
Hi, recently moved into 30 year old home. I've wired some cable to a small 3x3 shed with 2 gpos, a 15a GPO, and a light. The shed is about 2m away from the house on a concrete slab. The 15a gpo (4mm) is run back to the house mbox location currently coiled above in the roofspace. The light (1mm) and gpos (2.5mm) are run to the house... -

So earlier this year I obtained a large machine with a couple of 3 phase motors in it, and the rest single phase. DOL starter wiring problem
Hi I have problem wiring up DOL starter Circuit trips breaker when try to start I must be wiring something wrong Any help would be appreciated -
Lighting circuit trips RCD but not MCB, can’t find E-N fault
Long shot but thought I’d try, have a lighting circuit that trips the RCD as soon as the neutral touches the neutral bar for said RCD. Bypass that and it works fine just on an MCB so would think earth-neutral fault, but doing an IR test between N and E shows as a pass (>99M ohm). So unsure of... -
